FCMC FORMS FULTON PALLIATIVE CARE SERVICES

Dr. Anna Kent, a provider at Fulton Family Practice, has collaborated with FCMC to offer a new specialized service: FCMC Palliative Care Services. This interdisciplinary approach to medical care is designed to
enhance the quality of life and alleviate suffering for individuals facing serious, complex, and often terminal illnesses.

With her new specialization, Dr. Kent will focus on symptom management related to lifethreatening or serious illnesses. She will facilitate Goals of Care discussions and provide navigation services to guide patients through their illness journey.

Palliative care is a medical specialty dedicated to relieving the symptoms and stress associated with serious illnesses. Palliative care teams work to manage symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, nausea, and loss of appetite, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive support throughout their experience.

Dr. Anna Kent is now accepting patients into the palliative care services. Call 717-485-4180 for an appointment. She will continue to care for patients in Fulton Family Practice as well, through the family practice side.

Who We Are

The Franklin County Free Press, established by Vicky Taylor in 2019, emerged as a beacon of local journalism for the residents of Franklin County. Under Vicky's leadership, it quickly became an essential source of news, particularly at a time when major newspaper publications were increasingly overlooking local coverage.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
