Join in the holiday spirit at the 2019 Festival of Trees, held in Franklin County’s 11/30 Visitors Center, the former 1865 National Bank of Chambersburg on the square.

The festival opened last weekend, just before Chambersburg‘s Christmas parade. It runs until Friday‘s Christmas on Main celebration.

Stop by the Visitor’s Center anytime the upcoming week to see a variety of beautifully decorated trees and wreaths. Enjoy a holiday train display, courtesy of Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club, in the Center’s lobby.

Explore children’s activities in the Discovery Vault, and videos of history in the Video Vault.

Visitors can vote for their favorite tree or wreath. They can also participate in a silent auction to take a tree or wreath home at the festival’s end.

Funds raised by the auction supports WellSpan Health’s cancer initiatives, including Hennessy Home and the Oncology Bridge Fund.

Display Hours

  • Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Visitor Center hours December 2-5, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • December 6 – Christmas on Main First Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Admission to the festival is free. Visitors may vote for their favorite tree or wreath by purchasing four ballots for $1.
