Mrs. Florence M Scott (King), 90, of Baker Road, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 in Menno Haven Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg.

Born April 8, 1931 in Washington Twp., Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Nancy E. (Nunemaker) King.

She and her husband, the late Mr. Rolland E. Scott, were married October 19, 1951. They were married for almost 50 years when he passed away June 5, 2001.

In her early life, Mrs. Scott was employed by Waynesboro Shoe Factory for a number of years. She primarily was a homemaker who took great pride in taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed planting her garden each spring and then canning her produce.

Florence was an active member of Salem Church and was an avid card player who loved to gather with her friends each month to play. She especially loved time spent with her niece, Lillian Smith who cared for her in later years and her cat, Shelby.

She is survived by one son, Douglas E. Scott (Sue E. Davis) of Carroll Valley; grandson, Michael J. Klosterman; two great-grandsons, Weston and Tanner; and a host of extended family and friends.

Mrs. Scott was the last of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Herman M. King, Sheldon L. King, Melvin E. King her twin, Glenn N. King and Walter A. “Shay” King, Jr.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro.

Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Wednesday morning, in the funeral home.
