Former Corrections Officer Charged in Sexual Misconduct and Identity Theft Case

Attorney General Dave Sunday, in coordination with the Pennsylvania State Police, announced criminal charges against former SCI Forest corrections officer Kristina Miller for alleged misconduct involving inmates and identity theft.

Miller, 35, of McKean County, is accused of engaging in sexual relationships with three inmates and using the prison’s computer system to steal the identities of other inmates. The alleged incidents occurred between 2020 and 2023 during her employment at the Forest County facility.

She has been charged with felony counts of institutional sexual assault and unlawful use of a computer, along with misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit identity theft and conspiracy to commit theft by deception.

According to investigators, Miller accessed the prison’s inmate database to collect personal information, which she then shared with a co-conspirator to carry out a financial fraud scheme.

Miller was arraigned Wednesday, and bail was set at $100,000 unsecured. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Section.

All charges are allegations. Miller is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
