Franklin County Career and Technology Center is highlighting communication as part of its Workforce Development Program.
The program focuses on helping students develop communication skills for the workplace. Training includes active listening, professional communication, body language, nonverbal communication, and understanding how emotions can affect conversations.
Students also learn how to adapt communication styles for different situations and workplaces, work through barriers that can lead to misunderstandings, build positive listening habits, and develop teamwork skills.
The training also addresses how culture, experiences, and context can influence communication.
Students practice these skills through classroom discussions, teamwork activities, career readiness training, and real-world work experiences.
The Workforce Development Program is designed to prepare students with professional skills expected by employers.
