Franklin County Career and Technology Center staff received training on child safety and online exploitation during recent in-service days.
Tricia Maciejewski of Live Like Levi and FBI Special Agent Ford spoke with staff about child exploitation through social media platforms. The presentation covered their experiences, local and national trends, and the effects of online exploitation on children.
The session also addressed ways adults can have proactive conversations with young people about technology use and establish safe boundaries.
Staff were encouraged to share the “PAUSE” practice with young people as they navigate digital platforms.
