Franklin County Area Agency on Aging is inviting all residents aged 60 and above to the inaugural “Second Saturdays” event, set to take place this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greencastle Activity Senior Center.
During “Second Saturdays,” attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities. The program includes special presentations from guest speakers, health and wellness workshops, and other activities tailored for seniors. All equipment and materials usually available during normal operating hours will also be accessible on Saturdays.
This Saturday, Michelle Gilfus from Visiting Angels will deliver a presentation at 10:30 a.m. Following the presentation, seniors can join in on a session of Bingocize at 1 p.m. A catered lunch featuring pizza, chips, and a drink will be served at noon. Those planning to attend the lunch are encouraged to pre-register by calling ahead.
The “Second Saturdays” initiative offers a unique opportunity for seniors who are unable to visit the senior centers during the week to explore and participate in the center’s offerings.
