“Receives High Scouting Award“

Scouting’s coveted God and Country award has been given to John Hartman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hartman, Marion. He is a member of Troop 372.

Presentation was made at a recent service in Marion United Methodist Church by Wilmer Miller, Chambersburg, Scout executive. John’s parents were given pins.

The award requires extensive work and is designed to develop a Scout’s spiritual faith. John has been active in church and school and has been a member of St. Paul United Methodist Sunday School. He has worked closely with the Rev. John He Jr., pastor at Marion, who counsels the boys in the program.
