“Hennessy gets AT&T contract – Firm will add 20 factory jobs”

Hennessy Products Inc. recently won a contract with AT&T Corp. that will create 20 jobs at its Chambersburg factory. A $975,000 tax-exempt industrial revenue bond will help the company fulfill the contract.

The bond, issued by the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority, will be used to expand the company’s manufacturing capacity.

“It’s going to allow us to buy some equipment so we can compete globally,” said president Mike Hennessy. ​

“A Better Highway for the Valley”

A resident of Willow Hill vicinity vouchsafed the opinion that Path Valley was not in need of a trolley a railroad anymore; all they asked tor was a first-class State highway well maintained, in order that those owning cars would be able to make the trip to Chambersburg with comfort and reasonable speed.
