Franklin Financial Services Corporation appoints Gregory I. Snook to Board of Directors

Franklin Financial Services Corporation, the bank holding company of F&M Trust, announced that Gregory I. Snook has been appointed a Director of Franklin Financial Services Corporation and F&M Trust effective December 15, 2022. As a Director of the Corporation, Snook will serve a term to expire at the annual meeting of shareholders in 2025.

Snook is a lifelong resident of Washington County, Maryland, where F&M Trust recently opened its 22nd community office, in Hagerstown. Snook is President and CEO of the Washington County Industrial Foundation (CHIEF), Executive Director of the Alice Virginia and David W. Fletcher Foundation, and Past Chairman of the Meritus Medical Center Board of Trustees.

Not only does Greg bring to the Board a wealth of experience and knowledge about Hagerstown, Washington County, and Maryland, he also has a great understanding of board governance and a strong business acumen” said Timothy G. Henry, President and CEO of F&M Trust.

Snook has served on the Hagerstown Community College Board of Trustees since 2007, is a member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, and served as President of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County from 1990-2006.

“I am very excited about joining the Board of Directors, and I am looking forward to F&M Trust coming to Washington County and providing a wide variety of financial services to the community,” Snook said.

Snook also is a member of the Maryland State Roads Commission and the Maryland Transportation Commission, and has served as Chairman of the Governor’s Task Force for Alternative Energy.

Jack G “Digger” Mellott 1926-2024

Jack was a United States Navy Veteran serving at Pearl Harbor, Okinawa, Guam, and Nagasaki during WWII. Jack enjoyed working outside and maintaining his home and property.

David M Lawver 1970-2024

Dave was a member of the Foursquare Church in Gettysburg, PA. He was employed at Shadowfax in York since 1990.

Peter Kernan McCrary 1934-2024

Pete grew up in the Washington, DC area and had fond memories of learning to sail on the Potomac River. He was an avid sailor and boat builder for the rest of his life.

Ella G Daywalt 1929-2024

Ella was employed with the Waynesboro Area School District and worked in Mowrey Elementary as a cafeteria aide for many years.
