Photos and information obtained from Franklin Fire Company

Feb 22nd at 2 PM, Franklin 911 received numerous calls about a fire engulfing a mobile home in Red Bridge Mobile Park, located at the 1900 block of Philadelphia Ave. Franklin Fire Company’s Engine 45 was first on the scene, finding the mobile home fully aflame.

Deputy Chief Olson took command of the scene, designated as Command 44. As the firefighting teams from Engine 45 and Engine 13-2 (Letterkenny Army) battled the blaze, they were informed by onlookers that two individuals might still be inside the residence. The teams conducted a primary search while fighting the fire. They discovered that a rear bedroom was unaffected by the fire, allowing them to swiftly confirm that no one was inside.

The fire was successfully extinguished within two hours, and the scene was cleared after a thorough overhaul. During the operation, one firefighter sustained minor burns to the shoulders but was treated at a local hospital and released. Fire police managed traffic along Philadelphia Ave throughout the incident.
