Gallery 50 to Host Opening Reception for “SPECTRUM: Realism to Abstraction” Art Exhibit

allery 50, owned and operated by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro, is excited to announce the opening reception for its new art exhibit, “SPECTRUM: Realism to Abstraction,” on Friday, May 5 from 5:30 – 8 pm. The exhibit will feature artwork from 12 local artists, covering a wide range of styles, from realism to abstraction.

The Event

The opening reception for the exhibit will showcase the new artwork and include free refreshments. Additionally, attendees will enjoy live music from The Flying Matlocks in the adjacent Music Makers. The 12 featured artists are Cindy Baker, Peg Belcastro, Anne Finucane, David Henry, Melissa Hook, Katrina Hoopes, Kate Keely, Melissa Libertini, Sandra Schuster, Andrew Small, Jennifer Small, and Gallery 50 curator Marti Yeager.

The Artwork

The 12 featured artists’ works cover a wide range in style, from realism to abstraction. Gallery 50 will also have new fine art and crafts by local artists available, including pottery, wood carvings, jewelry, stained glass art, and more.

Exhibit Information

The exhibit will be on display through July 29, and Gallery 50 is open on Fridays from 5 – 8 pm, Saturdays from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm, and by appointment. The full exhibit will soon be available to browse and purchase on the gallery’s online shop at www.gallery50-aagw.square.site.
