PSAC Eastern Division : Garibaldi is top field hockey athlete

Shippensburg University freshman Agus Garibaldi is the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Hockey Athlete of the Week. She was chosen Tuesday after totaling five goals, one assists and 11 points in a three-game span.
Garibaldi (Recoleta, Argentina/Colegio San Agustin) recorded her second career hat trick after scoring three consecutive goals against IUP. She also added an assist on the sixth and final goal of the game.
She scored the game-winning goal while helping the Raiders hold back IUP; who was trying to come back in the fourth quarter. After the Valkyries reduced the deficit to make it 2-1, 30 seconds later, Garibaldi then hit a rocket shot on a penalty corner to take a 3-1 lead.
Against Millersville, Garibaldi had the lone goal for the Raiders, with only two shots and one shot on goal.
Garibaldi ranks #2 in the PSAC for total goals (16) and shots on goal (55); and tied for second in points (38).
The honor marks the second time this season that Garibaldi has been honored as the PSAC Field Hockey Athlete of the Week. It is the fifth time a Raider was honored this season.
