Mr. George A Rodgers Jr., 72, of Old Route 16, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

Born May 27, 1949 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late George A., Sr. and Helen S. (Kendall) Rodgers.

George was a proud student of the Rouzerville Academy, later graduating from Waynesboro Senior High School with the Class of 1967.

He was a longtime employee of Morton Buildings and was a member of Rouzerville United Methodist Church, Cascade American Legion Post #239, Owls Club and Blue Ridge Sportsmen’s Association.

An avid hunter and fisher, he was also known locally for singing and playing guitar in the band “the Porno Stuntman.”

George is survived by two grandsons, Brandyn A. Rodgers and Hunter T. Rodgers as well as a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisabeth K. “Libby” (Plowman) Rodgers; son, Nicholas A. Rodgers; sister, Georgia Darlene Rodgers Roe; and brother, Randolph C. “Randy” Rodgers.

Private graveside services will be held in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, near Rouzerville.

A Celebration of George’s Life will be held at Cascade American Legion at a time to be announced.

Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
