Shippensburg University’s Kyra Gerber (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) is officially a member of the 2020-21 Division II Academic All-District 2 ® Track & Field Team. The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performance in sports and the classroom.

Gerber is a senior academically, a junior athletically in cross country and a sophomore athletically in track & field. She is majoring in exercise science (allied health pre-professional concentration) and seeking a minor in coaching. She maintains a 3.91 cumulative grade-point average (GPA).

In the 2021 outdoor track & field season, Gerber was one of the top mid-distance runners for the Raiders. As a First-team Academic All-District® honoree, Gerber is in the running for CoSIDA’s Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced August 11.
