Gettysburg finished first and Northern York placed second in Monday’s Mid Penn Colonial golf match at Gettysburg National, while the four Franklin County teams filled the remaining spots in the standings.
Waynesboro posted its best team performance of the season, finishing third with a score of 332, just one stroke behind Northern York. The Indians moved to 4-11. Greencastle-Antrim finished fourth with 342 strokes and moved to 8-7, while Shippensburg scored 352 and stood at 7-8. Chambersburg finished sixth and moved to 1-14.
Greencastle-Antrim’s Camden Eby and Shippensburg’s Kaden Ramsey led the Franklin County golfers, each shooting a 6-over-par 78 to tie for fourth place. Shippensburg’s Kaydee Beckenbaugh and Waynesboro’s Caiden Shacreaw and Landon Crable each shot 79 to tie for sixth.
Greencastle-Antrim also received an 81 from Bryce Davidson, who tied for 10th, and an 83 from Bryce Wilhide, who placed 14th. Chambersburg was led by Kole Peiffer with an 80 for ninth place, while Mason Lehman shot 82 to tie for 12th.
Among the area girls competing, Waynesboro’s Abby Byers shot 88 and Chambersburg’s Abby Rensch finished with a 94.
