Glory Days: Phoenix finish 10th

The Glory Days Invitational in Winchester, VA., saw Wilson College’s men’s golf team hit the road early Monday to compete in the 36-hole event. It was hosted by Shenandoah University, and took place at the Winchester Country Club.

The Phoenix shot a 769 to finish in 10th place. Southern Virginia University shot a team score of 607 to claim first place in the Glory Days event. The Knight’s Charles Price took medalist honors after shooting a 145 for the day.

Phoenix junior Kojie Santos (Melbourne, Australia) paced the Phoenix after firing an 84 on the opening 18-holes and carding an 80 during the second session for a 164, which was good enough to finish in 22nd place in the 56 man field.

Senior Josh Howells (Lancaster, Pa., Lampeter-Strasburg) came in with an even 200 on the day, while fellow senior Connor Martin (Warner Robins, GA., Houston County) finished with a 202.


Juniors Dawson Delaney (Ocean City, MD., Stephen Decatur) and Collin Bitler (Frederick, MD., Thomas Johnson) rounded out the scoring for the Phoenix with a 203 and 246 respectively. 

Wilson will be back on the course to wrap up the Fall portion of their schedule on October 11 a the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational.
