Greg J Walde 1957-2024

Greg J Walde, age 66, of Gettysburg, entered into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home.

He was born on August 14, 1957 in Gettysburg, the child of Shirley A. (Watson) Walde and the late Joseph W. Walde.

Greg graduated from Gettysburg High school in 1975. He was the owner/operator of Walde’s Motor Repair in Gettysburg for many years with his Dad.

He attended FV Church in Gettysburg, and was a member of Upper Adams Fish and Game, Mercersburg Sportsmans Assoc, Motorcyclists for Jesus Ministry, and the Wheel Horse Collectors Club.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine (Keller) Walde. He is also survived by son Ryan and his wife Jess of Ortanna, daughter Amanda Charles and her husband Duane of Manheim; three grandchildren, Lincoln and Juliet Walde and Colby Charles. He is also survived by siblings Diana and husband David Gulden of Gettysburg, Mark and wife Belinda Walde of Biglerville, Jody Walde-Stine and husband George Stine of Biglerville, Nick Walde and companion Rebecca Hansford of Gettysburg, many nieces and nephews, and Virginia (Walde) and husband Jerry Miller of Biglerville.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg.

Services will be held at the discretion of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice, 440 Madison St, Hanover, PA 17331.
