Current branch manager and former owner of Growing With Music, Tracy Thomas started the business in 2013 as a part time venture teaching Musikgarten classes to babies in a rented location in Greencastle, eventually expanding to its current facility in order to accommodate its increased programs. In addition to studio spaces, the current location offers instrument rentals and music accessories.

Merger with a twist

The merger of Growing With Music and CVSM began this fall with the unique twist that Thomas and Executive Director of CVSM Heather McEndree were colleagues in the Maryland public school system and fellow Musikgarten teachers.

“It is the goal of both organizations that the instructors and programs at the Greencastle location will change as little as possible; while also benefiting from the added resources CVSM has to offer,” according to a press release published earlier this year.

Current hours for Growing With Music are by appointment, Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information about both organizations can be found on their respective social media pages and websites at www.cvsmusic.org and www.growingwithmusic.org. The phone number for Growing With Music is (717) 643-1426.
