Hannah Marsteller named PSAC Eastern Athlete of the Week  

The Shippensburg University graduate Hannah Marsteller (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Softball Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.  

In a 3-1 week for the Raiders, Marsteller led the team in RBIs (4) and slugging percentage (1.600). Hannah had a batting average .400, with four hits, including a double and three home runs. She also drew five walks and reached base nine times in 15 plate appearances  

In Satuday’s sweep of Bloomsburg, Marsteller had two hits and reached base four times in five plate appearances. In Game 1 in the bottom of the eight, Marsteller got the go-ahead winning run on third base after hitting a double to left center. While in Game 2, Marsteller drew a team high three walks.  Overall, Marsteller had a 1.200 slugging percentage, .400 batting average and a .625 on base percentage.  

Among her signature performances was hitting back-to-back two-run home runs in Game 2 against Shepherd and drew a walk with a .400 batting average. In Game 1, Hannah drew a walk and a run. Overall, Marsteller had a 1.600 slugging percentage, .400 batting average and a .571 on base percentage.  

Marsteller was named in the NFCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year Watchlist along with her teammate, Morgan Lindsay. She also leads the PSAC in home runs (7), slugging percentage (.945, combined on base and slugging percentage (1.459) and fifth in on-base percentage (.514). 

It is the first PSAC weekly award of the season for Marsteller and the seventh of her career.
