Shippensburg University sophomore first base Hannah Marsteller (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Softball Athlete of the Week on Monday by the league office.

Marsteller hit .429 with nine hits (seven of which went for extra bases) and eight RBIs as Shippensburg went 4-2 in Myrtle Beach at the Snowbird Softball Freeze Out.

She had hits in five of six games, including multiple hits in four games. Marsteller had a triple and three RBIs against West Virginia State; a home run, double and three RBIs in Game 1 against Southern Connecticut, and two doubles and an RBI in Game 2 against Southern Connecticut. She also hit doubles against both Goldey-Beacom and No. 17 St. Anselm.

It is the first PSAC weekly award of Marsteller’s career.
