Mr. Harry David “Pops” Peli, 72 of Greencastle, PA passed away peacefully August 29, 2026 with family members at his side.
Harry David was born September 3, 1953 in New Kensington, PA and was the son of Harry and Anna Marie (Ferrazzoli) Peli. Following birth, he was baptized into Roman Catholicism at Mount Saint Peter Parish in New Kensington, PA.
Harry David was a gifted bricklayer. He started with local residential bricklaying in the New Kensington area eventually taking employment with United Masonry Inc. of Virginia on large commercial projects in the Washington DC metro area. He was proud to say that he worked on notable landmarks such as Georgetown University, Tysons Towers, and One Metro Center that towered 32 floors with masonry, brick and cast stone sections.
His trust and dedication were selected to help construct security buildings around our nation’s capital and special projects at the Camp David presidential retreat.
He had several hobbies of which he enjoyed working on cars, finding antiques and collectables, gardening, and was a talented rhythm guitarist.
Harry was a devout patriot and loved his family most of all.
He is survived by three children, Harry D. Peli, Jr. (Lacey) of Greencastle, PA, Roman J. Peli (Stephanie) of Aldie, VA, and Patrick S. Peli of Greencastle, PA., two stepchildren; William Gehringer and Melissa Virago, and six grandchildren; Kallista Peli, Harry D. Peli, III, Liam Peli, Giovanni Peli, Emma Peli and Grant Peli, and four siblings, Laverne (Dale) Collier of Hyde Park, PA, Anita (Kevin) Campbell of Naples, FL, Lisa (James) Romanak of Apollo, PA, and James Peli (Rebecca) of Saxonburg, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Raymond Peli (Patricia) of New Kensington, PA
Family and friends are welcome to attend and pay their respects. from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., Thursday September 3, 2026, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington Street, Greencastle, PA 17225, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 1 p.m., officiated by Fr. Augusty Valomchalil.
Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
