SHIPPENSBURG — Cumberland County residents now have options when it comes to disposal of their hazardous waste.
The Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Program is offering three disposal events this summer, but residents must sign up for an appointment in advance.
Appointment slots are available in 15-minute increments and are limited to 12 customers per slot. All acceptable material will be weighed as is and each customer will be charged $0.30 per pound for disposal.
Pre-registration will help control traffic flow and reduce congestion. Each event will be limited to the number of registrants listed (288). Appointments are available on a first-come, first served basis. Only one appointment (quantity) per customer allowed.
