IceFest PA Features Live Ice Carving and More Despite Schedule Changes

Despite some adjustments to the event schedule, IceFest PA is set to dazzle attendees with an array of activities and attractions. Organizers have announced that while the placement of smaller ice sculptures will be postponed, the festival will feature live carving of giant sculptures. This exciting display is scheduled to commence tonight following the ribbon cutting at 5 PM on the Courthouse Plaza.

In addition to the live carving, the double-wide ice slide will be open to the public from 5-8 PM. Festival-goers can also enjoy a variety of food vendors strategically placed around the downtown square and parking lot on North Main Street. Kevin Beecher Glassware will be present, offering unique icicles and ornaments perfect for this chilly season.

For those looking for a more leisurely experience, carriage rides are still available for booking, providing a perfect way to enjoy the festive atmosphere. With plenty of activities lined up, IceFest PA promises a fun-filled evening for all attendees. Join the community as they celebrate winter in style!

Who We Are

The Franklin County Free Press, established by Vicky Taylor in 2019, emerged as a beacon of local journalism for the residents of Franklin County. Under Vicky's leadership, it quickly became an essential source of news, particularly at a time when major newspaper publications were increasingly overlooking local coverage.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
