Irene B. Pine, 78, of Mercersburg, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in Chambersburg, PA.
Born April 29, 1946 in Williamson, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyn Wetzel Gelsinger.
For 25 years, Irene worked as a school bus driver for the Tuscarora School District. She enjoyed working on crafts and had a good sense of humor.
Irene was a member of the Mt. Tabor Brethren in Christ Church.
Irene is survived by 3 children, Amy Witmer, Paul Pine Jr., Amber Bradt, 3 stepchildren, Mark Pine, Mike Pine, and Pam Pine, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and two sisters, Janet Hershey and Linda Pine.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Pine Sr., and siblings, Daisy Houpt, Eileen Naugle, Richard Gelsinger, and Samuel Gelsinger.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday June 21, 2024, at Fries Funeral Home in Mercersburg, PA, with Pastor David Pine officiating.
There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service and burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA.
