Janet L Hull, 96, of Chambersburg, passed away on February 7, 2024 in Chambersburg, PA.

Born June 2, 1927 in Richmond Furnace, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus and Rosie (Burkholder) Starliper.

Janet was raised on a farm with 4 brothers and a sister. She married Harry B. Hull and raised two children, Terry L. Hull and Trudy A. Hull.

Janet loved to bake pies and enjoyed cooking for her family. She enjoyed reading the Bible and taking trips with her husband to Benezette, PA to see the Elk and wildlife.

For 40 years, Janet helped teach Sunday School at Clayton Memorial Church of God. She loved visiting nursing homes and spending time with anyone who needed help. In her later years, Janet enjoyed listening to Jimmy Swaggart.

Janet is survived by her son, Terry L. Hull, 3 grandchildren, Troy Hull, Daniel Hull, and Erin Whitmer, 4 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Hull (2013) a daughter, Trudy A. Hull, a daughter-in-law Donna Hull, and 5 siblings.

A viewing will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Fries Funeral Home Inc. Mercersburg, PA.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, at Fries Funeral Home with Pastor Floyd Myers officiating and burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA.

There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
