Janice raised her children in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and lived for many years in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, before returning to Massachusetts. She resided in Amesbury at the time of her passing.

Janice is survived by her daughter, AmyBeth Macdonald Hodges, and her husband, Brian Hodges, and her son, Roderick John Macdonald, Jr., and his wife, Sara Quimby. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathryn Clark and Elizabeth Carey and her husband, Edmund, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Eileen Lane St. Onge McBrairty; her father, John G. St. Onge, Sr.; and her brother, John G. St. Onge, Jr.

Janice had a beautiful singing voice and a special love for harmonizing. Music was a meaningful part of her life, and she found great joy in singing and sharing that gift with others.

Her Christian faith was also an important part of who she was. Janice loved the Lord and held her faith close to her heart, finding comfort, strength, and hope in her relationship with Jesus. Her faith remained a source of peace and comfort throughout her life.

Janice felt most at peace at the beach. She especially loved Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, where she spent summers as a child and later enjoyed many fun-filled days with her family. Those memories, filled with music, family, faith, and time by the ocean, will remain a cherished part of her legacy.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
