Jefferson Arnold “Nightwolf” Monroe was born in Bronx, New York on June 28, 1960, to Gladys Mae Monroe and James “Blackhawk” Sancarlos.

He was one of six children born to this union of African American and Native American descent and twin to Jerry “Eaglefeather” Monroe, who sadly passed away in December 2021.
Jeff was an avid and accomplished martial artist, being known as one of the Twin Dragons, alongside his brother, Jerry. The two were also (along with Curtis Silwa), co-founders of the New York based Guardian Angels.
Jeff had several siblings on his father’s side and has left to cherish his memory: his only son, Joshua; sisters Patricia “Running Fire”, Diana “Winter Dawn” and Bonita “Turquoise Stone”; brothers: Chato “Littlewolf”, Ikce and Dale “Lonewolf’.
He leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, two devoted uncles, Bernard and Cato and a countless number of very close friends.
Preceding him in death were both of his parents, brothers: James “Greywolf”, Freddy “Littlehawk”, Patrick “Red Cloud” and Jerry “Eaglefeather”; sisters: Diane “Singing Water”, Jessica and Distarte.
Though he is at rest with The Creator, Jeff is and forever will be loved and missed by so many.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are entrusted to the William F. Sellers Funeral Home.
