John E Swailes Sr., 59, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born December 8, 1962 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Madduest and Clara (Smith) Swailes.
He attended Chambersburg Area Schools and Harrisburg Area Community College. John then went on to obtain his Bachelor’s degree from Mountain State University, Virginia. He was an aerospace engineer for ST Engineering formerly Middle River Aircrafts, Baltimore, MD. John enjoyed going to the gun range and fixing old houses.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debra K. (Russell) Swailes; two sons, John E. Swailes, Jr. and Joshua Swailes; a step-son, David Johnson; siblings, Shirley Conner, Barbara Riggleman, Theresa Hershey, and Dorothy Carroll all of Chambersburg.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Robert Swailes, William Swailes, Charles Swailes and Janet Kauffman.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
