John Randall Hill, known to all as Randy, passed away peacefully at the age of 74.
He was the youngest of five children to Calla and Bud Hill, whom preceded him in death.
Randy lived his life on the Hill Dairy Farm on Narrows Road, where he was cared for by his family. He was afflicted with Cerebral Palsy from birth. He was surrounded by a close-knit, loving extended family, always willing to lend a hand. A special person, Ray Kerlin, was there when needed.
Randy was fond of his chickens, ducks and trees. He was knowledgeable of the types of birds and flowers that inhabited the Narrows. Randy’s trademark was his big smile, and his joyful demeanor left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Randy is survived by his sister Kathaleen Hill O’Connor and brother Dennis Alan Hill. He is also survived by his aunt, Evy Souders, as well as many Hill and Souders cousins, especially Jeanne. Additionally, he is survived by his nieces and nephews Tammy (Hill) Daughenbaugh, Andy Hill, Brian Hill, Sharon (O’Connor) Weaver, Shelley O’Connor-Sherman and Stacey (O’Connor) Taylor.
Randy was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry B. Hill and Roger Hill.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the Overly Raker staff, who lovingly cared for Randy over the course of 15 years at the Fulton County Medical Center. Their kindness and compassion made a profound difference in his life.
