Gabriella Johnson added a new honor to her impressive list of accomplishments Wednesday. The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association added the Shippensburg University senior to its 2019-20 All-America team.

Johnson, Shippensburg University‘s 2019-20 Women’s Student-Athlete of the Year, was on her way to a probable state championship last month when the 2020 NCAA Championships were canceled on its second day.

“Despite the cancellation of the NCAA Championships, Coach Verge did a remarkable job this season,” Greg Earhart, Executive Director of the CSCAA, said. “Gabbie had the rug pulled out from her this season. So we are excited to recognize her as one of the nation’s best.”
