Shippensburg University senior Gabriella Johnson will participate in the 2020 NCAA Career in Sports Forum.
The NCAA announced that it will hold this year’s forum in a virtual format from May 27-29. A committee from within the NCAA membership selected the student-athletes who will attend the form.
The forum brings together participants interested in pursuing careers in sports, and viewed as leaders on their campus. School athletics directors nominate athletes, who then are invited to apply to attend the forum.
The forum is one of more than 45 annual conferences and seminars organized and directed by NCAA‘s leadership development department. It provides college athletes with a broader scope of the career tracks available within the sports business. The primary focus is on college athletics.
The forum gives student-athletes interactive experiences with successful individuals in the sports business and a peek into their day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
Shippensburg has been represented at the event eight times in the forum’s 11 years. A full list of previous SU attendees is below.
