Judy Ruth Diegel, age 78, of Gardners, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg.
She was born October 1, 1946 in Newville, PA as the daughter of the late Emery Franklin and Estella (Finky) Clugston.
Judy graduated in the Class of 1965 from Elizabethtown High School. After high school, Judy married and became a wonderful wife and mother to her two children.
She was a homemaker for many years and then later retired as a bank teller for Adams County National Bank in Bendersville. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed jelly making, crocheting, and going on cruises with her husband.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles “Chuck” D. Diegel, Sr. of Gardners; two children, Milissa Ann Barrick and her husband, Charles “Chuck” of Richmond, VA and Charles “Chuck” D. Diegel, Jr., and his wife, Karen of New Cumberland, PA; three grandchildren, Kris Barrick (Brandi), Skylar Eisner (Mason) and Sebastian Diegel; one great-grandson, Zane Barrick; one sister, Gloria Diegel (James); three brothers, Galen Clugston (Lucille), David Clugston and George Clugston (Sarah) and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her two sisters, Genevieve Liskey and Louise Diegel and two brothers, Emery F. Clugston, Jr. and Curtis Clugston.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Bright Hope Fellowship Church, 345 N. Deodate Rd, Middletown, PA 17057, with officiating Pastor Jitesh Soans.
