On the evening of January 31st, Chambersburg police responded to an incident involving gun violence at the intersection of West Catherine Street and Water Street. The call came in around 11:46 p.m., following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a juvenile had been shot in what is being described as a targeted attack.
The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. As of now, details regarding the juvenile’s current health status remain undisclosed by authorities.
Chambersburg police are investigating the shooting but believe this was an isolated incident, asserting that there is no imminent threat to the community at large.
