F&M Trust : Kaley Field Project donation
The need for upgrades became clear over six years ago, when a sewer line issue could not be
repaired. The Kaley Field restroom facilities closed and portable facilities used as a
temporary measure. This prompted the GAEF and the Greencastle-Antrim School District to
improve the Kaley Field complex.
“On behalf of F&M Trust, we are pleased to make this contribution to the Kaley Field Project.
The upgrade will accommodate the growth of the arts and athletic programs within the
Greencastle-Antrim School District,” said F&M CEO/President Tim Henry.
Henry said the entire community benefits from the enhanced complex; which hosts community events and is open to the public for recreational purposes.
“At F&M Trust, giving back to the communities we serve is the very core of who we are,” he said.
In addition to restrooms, improvements will feature touch-free faucets, hand-dryers and toilets.
Construction will also include a central complex access point with an improved ticket booth and
concession stand upgrades.
This state-of-the-art, 3,000 square-foot facility was designed to maximize the utilization of space
and ultimately cut down on the overall original construction costs
The building is expected to be completed in time for the 2021 school year.
“The Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation is thrilled by the support of F&M Trust. Their
$75,000 commitment to the Kaley Field Project, has provided credibility for our foundation. The
bank’s donation – as our first major donor – has laid the foundation for not only the project itself
but also for our efforts in continuing the necessary fundraising,” said Vernon McCauley,
President of the Board of GAEF. “Having F&M Trust as a valued partner shows the community
that GAEF is serious about the expected success of the Kaley Field Project.
