Kathleen J Strock, 68, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at UPMC West Shore Hospital.
Born February 21, 1955 in McConnellsburg, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Lois E. Henry Morton.
Kathleen was a graduate of James Buchanan High School.
She was employed as a waitress at various restaurants in the area including, P.J.’s Restaurant in Mercersburg, Ryan’s in Chambersburg and most recently, Keystone Family Restaurant in Waynesboro. She enjoyed working and made many friends through her job.
Kathleen was a member of Mountain Top Ministries in Orrtanna, PA. She loved and spoiled her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ronald L. Strock; two daughters, Misti Ardinger (Todd Rhone) of Chambersburg and Valerie Showalter (husband Troy) of Mercersburg; nine grandchildren, Seth, Hannah, Dylan, Paige, Jeremy, Cole, Hailey, Blake, and Paityn; and three siblings, Sharon Buterbaugh of McConnellsburg, Thurston Morton (Paula) of McConnellsburg, and Annette Huber (husband Mark) of Chambersburg.
Aside from her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Strock in 2008; and her granddaughter, Sydney Ardinger.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Ken Reid and Pastor Ron Parr will officiate.
Interment will follow the service at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
