Large amount of fentanyl, crack, heroin and cash seized

On 10/29/22 Officers responded to a tip from a concerned citizen regarding drugs being concealed. On arrival in the area of N. Cannon Ave, a subject later identified as Hugh Maurice Allen Wade Jr (age 32 of Baltimore) fled on foot from officers. Wade threw a large plastic baggie that was later recovered. The bag contained approximately 250 capsules of both heroin and fentanyl. It also contained a golf ball sized of suspected crack cocaine. Wade was located and apprehended a short time later. In addition, he had nearly $1700 in cash in his pockets.

During the course of the investigation, officers discovered there was a vehicle involved and subsequently made a traffic stop on it. K9 Jacky was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a “Cap’n Crunch” cereal box that contained a large number of capsules filled with CDS. Treyonna Charde Foster (age 28 of Baltimore) and Derrick Ricardo Wells Jr (age 33 of Baltimore) were subsequently arrested.

All three suspects face numerous charges related to the possession and distribution of CDS.

Separate Incident Resulted in Firearm Violations

In a separate incident, on 11/3/22 officers executed a search and seizure warrant in the first block of S. Mulberry St. The warrant led to the seizure of nearly $21,000 in cash and two handguns. Demond Lynn Williams (age 21 of Hagerstown), Lacey Rose Williams (age 23 of Hagerstown) and Zavaria Ayanna Maria Burgess (age 21 of Hagerstown) were all arrested and have been charged accordingly with numerous handgun and/or CDS violations.
