Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Dean Seidel, 62, of Mar Penn Avenue, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 in Chambersburg Hospital.

Born October 9, 1959 in Apple Valley, CA, he was the son of Mary E. (Nelson) Seidel of Apple Valley and the late Howard B. Seidel.

He began his career in the United States Army in 1978, later serving with the Army Reserves. He spent time stationed in Germany and Kansas.

He and his wife of 41 years, Helen “Marie” (Gaver) Seidel, were married February 21, 1981.

In younger years, Larry was an accomplished musician in Apple Valley, singing with the choral group, Apple Valley Band.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by four children, Joshua A. Seidel (Bethany) of Appleton, WI, Alisha M. Zimmerman (David) of Chambersburg, PA, Adam E. Seidel (Tiffani) of Williamsport, MD and Ben J. Seidel (Brittany Kretzer) of Waynesboro; 16 grandchildren; one step-grandchildren; four brothers, David Seidel of Bona, TX, Darrell Seidel of Murchenson, TX; Steven Seidel of Victorville, CA and Terrance Seidel of Apple Valley; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Seidel.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 12043 Old Route 16, Waynesboro with Vicar James Fitzgerald officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post #1599, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Tuesday morning, in the church.

Burial will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
