CHAMBERSBURG (Sept. 19, 2019) – F&M Trust has committed $5,000 for the 2019-2020 Leadership Franklin County (LFC) Community Program. The Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation program trains future community leaders to promote citizenship and community service.
F&M Trust’s sponsorship will support the LFC Community curriculum, covering things like transportation costs and classroom supplies. This also enables the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation to offer the course at a rate of $1,300 per student. The 2019-2020 class of 18 students kicked off the program recently with a weekend retreat held at Folium, Inc.
“The LFC Community is thrilled to have F&M Trust as our program sponsor,” said Virginia Harriger, executive director of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation. “We appreciate their support and look forward to this partnership with them as our sponsor.”
Arming Professionals With Leadership Skills
The nine-month leadership training course arms professionals with leadership skills and community knowledge they need to give back to the community. It is an initiative of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation and has graduated more than 600 students since its founding in 1985.

F&M regularly enrolls its own employees in the program and has five individuals participating in the 2019-2020 class, he said.
