Linda Lee Bossler

Linda was born on November 26th 1964 to parents Carroll Howard (father) and (mother) in Baltimore, Maryland.

After graduating high school she went on to become an assistant manager for Walmart for 14 years!

She had two children, Katie Bossler (daughter) and Stephen Howard (son).

In 2009, while working for Walmart she lost her beautiful daughter Katie, who was killed by a drunk driver at 15 years old. After this happened Linda wanted to go back to school to start a nursing career. She wanted to help people! She attended medical assistant school in Thurmont, Maryland and went on to become a medical assistant for 2 years!

In 2012 after becoming a medical assistant, Linda passed out while exercising and ended up having 2 massive strokes. From 2012- 2017 she fought everyday to get better! She was in and out of hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and nursing homes for over 5 years!

Finally, halfway through the year in 2017 we got the great news that she was able to come home!

From 2017 until 2022 Linda had worked extremely hard to become healthy and independent again!!

She was walking with no assistance, no longer needed an oxygen machine with her all day, and was living on her own with her dogs and she was so happy!!

In 2022 we got the news that Linda had been diagnosed with stomach cancer but the outcome was looking good. With surgery and chemo they believed she would be cancer free!

She had over 80% of her stomach removed and did chemotherapy for almost a year and was in remission as of January 2023! Things had been going great!

Linda absolutely adored her grandkids and spent as much time as possible with them!! Between sleep overs, vacations, school events, holidays, and so much more! She also loved taking painting classes, flower arrangement workshops, and gardening!

In November of 2024 Linda ended up back in the hospital again. Right after her 60th birthday at the end of November she was informed that her stomach cancer had returned and caused a very aggressive form of bone cancer that is terminal.

We got to take her home on hospice care and planned to stay with her but on the evening of Christmas Day she started to decline and declined very quickly. She ended up going into mercy house in Chambersburg where she passed away on January 7th 2025.

Linda was predeceased by both her mother and father, and daughter Katie.

She is survived by her son Stephen Howard, her daughter in law Selena Howard, and her two grandsons Landyn, and Owen.

A cremation service will be held at Iron Springs Brethren in Christ Church 855 Iron Springs Rd., Fairfield Pa. 17320 on Saturday January 18th at 1 p.m., doors will open at noon. There will be a celebration of life to follow the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Monahan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Mercy House of Chambersburg to help for Linda Bossler’s end of life care.
