Mrs. Linda May McKenzie (Moore), 83, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021.

Born August 1, 1938 in Taylor, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Curtis C. and Kate T. (Pullen) Moore.

Mrs. McKenzie was a graduate of Hope High School with the Class of 1956. She later attended Southern State College in Magnolia, AR before graduating from the University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy in 1961.

She and her husband, the late Dr. James G. McKenzie, were married August 27, 1960 in Hope, AR. Following retirement, they enjoyed spending 5 months in Celebration, FL each year. They were married for 60 years when he passed away September 29, 2020.

Following her graduation, Mrs. McKenzie practiced pharmacy at Arkansas Hospital and Children’s Hospital, both in Little Rock.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro and the Embroiders Guild of America.

Mrs. McKenzie is survived by two sons, M. Gregory McKenzie and his wife, Mitzi of Dillsburg, PA and Timothy B. McKenzie of Shrewsbury, PA; four grandchildren, Jack, Emily, Julia & Garren; one brother, Charles L. Moore of Lake Charles, LA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Merry Ann Johnston; and two brothers, Curtis P. Moore and Gayle Moore.

A memorial service for James and Linda McKenzie of Waynesboro, PA will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021 in Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, PA with Pastor Brian Lucas and Pastor David Dietrich officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Monday evening, in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Christ United Methodist Church, 100 S. Church Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268 or Wellspan Waynesboro Hospital, 501 East Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
