Local man accused of molesting baby, posting images
A local man has been accused of molesting a nine-month-old child and posting images of the act in an internet chat room.
David Paul Robinson, 31, Chambersburg, is charged with 47 separate counts of various pornography and sexual abuse crimes.
All are first through third degree felonies. The most serious — rape of a child and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child — are first degree felonies.
Robinson was taken into custody after investigators used a search warrant to locate newly created pornography in his Guilford Township home yesterday.
Pennsylvania State Police(PSP)Computer Crimes Unit, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC)and PSP Chambersburg Station served the search warrant at a home on Church Road, according to a PSP news release.
PSP was informed by ICAC agents and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that someone was manufacturing child pornography material and putting it on the Internet fromthe GuilfordTownship residence.
NCMEC received information from an online chat service, which reported the incidents. Authorities believed several of the images could depict newly produced material involving a child victim.
Police allege Robison sexually assaulted the child then postedrecordings ofthe incidents online.
In addition to the rape and sexual assault charges, Robinson faces incest and aggravated indecent assault charges as well as numerous manufacturing and disseminating child pornography charges.
The charges were filed Thursday morning with Magisterial District Judge Annie Gomez Shockey, who set bai at $800,000. He is Franklin County Jail, unable to post the bail. He faces a preliminary hearing Monday morning in Magisterial District Central Court.
Online court records do not show an attorney for Robinson as of Thursday.
