A 41-year-old man has been arrested by the Chambersburg Police Department on charges of strangulation and false imprisonment. According to the police, William Hettenschuller allegedly held a woman against her will and strangled her on April 19.
Police reports state that Hettenschuller placed his hands over the victim’s mouth, preventing her from breathing while holding her against her will. When the victim attempted to leave, Hettenschuller grabbed her, and police allege that he prevented her from leaving the premises.
Although Hettenschuller fled the scene before police arrived on April 19, he was arrested on April 26. Police have confirmed that he was driving a green 1996 Dodge pick-up truck with Pennsylvania registration ZVX4689 at the time.
Hettenschuller is now wanted for strangulation and false imprisonment, and anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Chambersburg Police Department or leave a tip on Crime Watch.
