Marlene Naomi Bushman 1939~2021


Mrs. Marlene Naomi (Bohn) Bushman, 82, of Waynesboro, PA, became reunited with her husband and favorite dance partner Monday, May 3, 2021 in Quincy Village.

Born February 5, 1939 in Union Bridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late Samuel O. and Gertrude Naomi (Utermahlon) Bohn.

She grew up in Union Bridge, graduating from Elmer H. Wolfe High School with the Class of 1958.

She married Thomas Luther Bushman on June 18, 1966 in Union Bridge, MD. After she was married, she lived in Emmitsburg, MD and Blue Ridge Summit, before she and her husband made their home in Waynesboro in 1982.

Every Sunday you could find them at Pen Mar Park enjoying each other’s company while listening to the bands and dancing together. Their talents on the dance floor won them several competitions over the years. Thomas passed away June 22, 2019, after 53 years of marriage.

Marlene was employed at Cambridge Rubber Co., Taneytown for 12 years. She also worked for TAB Books, Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Franklin County Nursing Home, Windbrier Retirement Home, Wayne Heights and Shirley’s Loving Hands of Chambersburg, PA. She retired at the age of 62.

She is survived by her son, Michael Bushman of Waynesboro, a grandson, Thomas Michael Bushman; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel LaVerne Bohn and a sister, Charlotte M. Connell.

Services will be private and be at the convenience of the family.
