Maryland State Fire Marshal Issues Urgent Recall Notice for Smoke Alarms Sold on Amazon

The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal is alerting residents to an urgent recall issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission for certain smoke alarms due to a potential alarm failure.

The recall involves LShome 3-Pack Photoelectric Smoke Detector Fire Alarms sold exclusively on Amazon.com by TIANJINSHIHAOWEIXINSHENGJIDIANANZHUANGGONGCHENG, of China.

According to the recall notice, if the threshold for security warnings is set too high, the alarm might not sound in time, posing a fire hazard. The defect may cause the alarm to malfunction or fail to alert occupants during an emergency.

The recall affects about 11,000 units. The alarms are 9V battery-operated, white, circular devices with a light-sound warning and a test button. Model number “XG-7D04-KZ9Z” and SKU number “CX-50YP-A5VN” are printed on the bottom side of the alarm.

The products were sold online at Amazon.com from February 2024 through December 2025 for about $30.

Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the recalled smoke alarms and contact lmm15957491237@163.com for instructions on obtaining a full refund through Amazon.com. The smoke alarms may be discarded in the household trash.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.

The recall was issued February 12, 2026. The recall number is 26-260.
