CVAS pets of the week: Meet Jill and Mae, looking for a home

Meet Jill and Mae, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. Jill and Mae are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes, and while these two adorable kitties would like to meet you, check out all the other amazing animals available for adoption also.

Go to the Animal Shelter link to see all their residents.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons, in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Adoptions by appointment

Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

The staff’s first priority is the animals in their care. Staffers and volunteers working at the shelter have to stay healthy to care for the animals properly.

So even though Franklin County is now in the green phase of the COVID-19 mitigation, CVAS is still only allowing the public to visit the shelter by appointment.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.

And now meet beautiful one-year-old Jill and sweet, sweet Mae!

Meet beautiful lap cat Jill

meet Jill and Mae

Jill came into the shelter as a kitten in January 2020.

She was a little unsure of humans, but came out of her shell a little when she found some feline friends.

Those friends have since been adopted and in order to get Jill some time with people, she was moved to one of the back offices.

Slowly, but surely, she’s coming around. When she trusts you, she’s quite a lap cat!

Do you have the love and patience to be Jill’s forever home?

Who could resist sweet, sweet Mae?

Meet Jill and Mae

Mae is a 2-year-old gray tabby girl who came into the shelter as a stray. We don’t know much about her past, but from what we’ve seen, she’s a sweet girl who enjoys treats and wet food.

Are you the right one for Mae?
