Pets of the Week: Meet Lemon and Tangerine, CVAS pets of the week

Meet Trixie and Lawrence, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. These are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter  has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes. While Lemon and Tangerine would like to meet you, check out all the other adorable animals available for adoption also. Go to this Animal Shelter link to see all their residents.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons, in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Adoptions by appointment

Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

The staff’s first priority is the animals in their care. Staffers and volunteers working at the shelter have to stay healthy to care for the animals properly.

So even though Franklin County is now in the green phase of the COVID-19 mitigation, CVAS is still only allowing the public to visit the shelter by appointment.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.

Who could resist a look like that?

Lemon would really like to find her forever family soon. (Submitted photo)

Lemon is a 6-month-old brown-and-white tabby who came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know a lot about her past. We do know that this lemon is the opposite of sour!

What a sweet girl she is who just wants to be loved. Lemon enjoys having her ears scratched and really wants to find a human to call her own. Could that be you?

Tangerine could be the best friend you’ve been looking for!

Tangerine came into the shelter as a stray. We think she’s about 5 months old and is a tortie girl who loves attention and watching birds out windows. Tangerine could be the best friend you’ve been looking for.
