Peach is a sweet girl

Meet Peach and Andy
Peach is a sweet girl who crawls into the arms of anyone who talks to her.

Peach was surrendered to the shelter because she was not adjusting well to a newborn baby in the home. Her owners loved her very much, but it was getting to be too stressful for Peach because she was afraid of the baby. Peach is a 6-year-old calico cat who is the sweetest girl. She crawls into the arms of anyone who talks to her. Is Peach the one for you?

Andy is just waiting for a home

Meet Peach and Andy
Andy has been waiting for a year to meet his new family. If you think he might be a god fit for your family , call CVAS and make an appointment to meet Andy

Andy came into the shelter as a stray in March 2019 with his mom and siblings when he was a small kitten. We got the group into foster care until they were ready to be adopted.

All the rest of Andy’s family have long since found a home, but he’s still with us, more than a year later.

Could you be the one to help him out of a cage and into a forever home?

New rules during Coronavirus pandemic

In accordance with Gov. Wolf’s mandate, the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is limiting visits by the public to those seriously interested in adoption.

We will continue to care for our animals and accept any stray animals in our jurisdiction.

Those seriously interested in adoption can fill out an online application here. We will honor any appointments made with our adoption counselor. Please help us protect the health of our staff and volunteers.

Also, remember your own pets. Do you have someone who can care for them if you can’t be with them? Do you have enough food and medications for them?

Rest assured our staff will continue to care for the animals at the shelter and would certainly appreciate any help we could get at this time, either monetarily or pet supply donations. We love our Amazon friends who make sure we’re stocked up and our donors who are always willing to help.

It’s important to remain calm and not panic in the face of current conditions, but also be smart about this. Look out for one another and come together like human beings do in times of crisis. Help each other, both two-legged and four-legged. Thank you for your understanding.
