Meet Reena and Jason, pets of the week

Meet Reena and Jason, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. These are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter  has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes. While Lemon and Tangerine would like to meet you, check out all the other adorable animals available for adoption also. Go to this Animal Shelter link to see all their residents.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons, in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Adoptions by appointment

Adoptions take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.

Do you have the right spot for Reena? (Submitted photo)

Reena came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know a lot about her. This 1-year-old tabby girl can be a little shy, but once she gets to know you, she’s a sweetheart.

Hes’s ready for her forever home (Submitted photo)

Jason or Jasey, was surrendered to the shelter when his owner was moving and could not take him along with them. He is a 7-year-old Lab/Rottweiler mix who was a little shy when he first arrived at the shelter and didn’t quite understand why he was here.

He learned that it was not so bad and has come out of his shell since his arrival, although he is still on the shy side in new situations or around new people. He has never been around children so an age restriction for children in the home may apply — please discuss this with shelter staff.

Jasey loves going outside to the play yard and enjoys just being with you! He did test positive for Lyme Disease and is currently on antibiotics. He would love to find his second chance soon!
