Meet Rocky and Malone, this week’s CVAS pets of the week

Meet

Meet Rocky and Malone, this week’s CVAS pets of the week. These are just two of the amazing animals residing at area animal shelters.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter  has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes. While Don Rocky and Malone would like to meet you, check out all the other adorable animals available for adoption also. Go to this Animal Shelter link to see all their residents.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons, in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Adoptions now take place by appointment only, and that has worked very well. Donors have also helped with supplies and money, something very necessary to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

Potential adopters can call 717-263-5791 For more information.

Rocky

Rocky is a happy guy that would love to find out what a loving forever home is all about! He was sighted running as a stray and had to be trapped to be caught. Rocky is a 2-year-old bulldog mix who is just a lovable guy. He did well with the tester cat here at the shelter, but supervised introductions are recommended until a relationship is established. Rocky knows sit and will give “five” (also known as shake) when asked. Rocky must meet all family members that reside in the home. Do you have the right spot for this sweet boy? CVAS, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA,
Kennel License #2090

Malone

Malone was surrendered to the shelter when his owner sadly passed away. He was a shy guy here at the shelter at first but has made strides in overcoming his fears. He is a 5-year-old brown tabby with white who now loves attention. Malone is going to make someone a great four-legged companion.

Who We Are

The Franklin County Free Press, established by Vicky Taylor in 2019, emerged as a beacon of local journalism for the residents of Franklin County. Under Vicky's leadership, it quickly became an essential source of news, particularly at a time when major newspaper publications were increasingly overlooking local coverage.

On January 1, 2022, the torch was passed to Nathan Neil and his firm, Neil Publishing, LLC. Neil, a local entrepreneur with multiple thriving businesses in Chambersburg, shares Vicky's fervent commitment to both the community and the world of local journalism.

Rooted in the heart of Franklin County and powered by its residents, the Franklin County Free Press continues to bridge the gap, ensuring that the local stories, events, and issues that matter most to the community remain in the spotlight.
